ABUJA(PRECISE POST)— Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu over alleged certificate forgery.

The reported arrest followed a warrant earlier issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja after Nnaji allegedly failed to honour invitations by the anti-graft agency in connection with its investigation.

The court had also authorised the ICPC to declare the former minister wanted pending his arrest.
Nnaji is expected to remain in the custody of the commission as investigations continue.

The former minister has previously denied the allegations of certificate forgery levelled against him.

The ICPC had yet to issue an official statement on the reported arrest as of the time of filing this report.
