First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu and Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri
ABUJA- The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has called on nations to embrace peace and mutual understanding amid global tensions.
Mrs Tinubu, made the call on Wednesday in Abuja during a closed-door meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri.
Reacting to the recent attack in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the First Lady said:”we must continue to pray for a world filled with peace and stand firmly against the provocations of war.
“Peace, as espoused by major religions, is close to the heart of God”.
Their discussion focused on strengthening partnerships between the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, with particular emphasis on promoting the Almajiri system of education and tackling the challenge of out-of-school children in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Ali Bin Al-Hajri expressed gratitude to the Mrs Tinubu and Nigerians for their support and their call for global peace during this difficult time.
He emphasised that Nigeria remains dear to the State of Quatar.(NAN)
