Abuja (Precise Post) – In a tell it all interview with big media platform NSM, former governor of Abia State and current senator in the federal republic of Nigeria has come out to state many facts why football and sports in general is a big business and to be played with. He also stated his stance in the current state of Enyimba football club of ABA. A club he single handedly placed in international map.
“Football and sports is a serious business all over the world. When you sell a player, you have recovered monies you spend in two, three years and that is what keeps a club running.
I was once interested in buying Arsenal football club in collaboration with an American bank. We gave them our bid, they told us that they will get back to us. Till now. I pray they do the right thing.
Enyimba football club is a club I brought to limelight internationally. It’s unfortunate that the club is in the state it is now. You can’t win matches when you owe players, coaches, even the journalists writing about them you don’t give them incentives. All these affect a club to getting a good result, he stated.
