Abuja (Precise Post) – Gambia High Commissioner Designate to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohamadou Musa Njie has saluted Gambia U19 Boys Volleyball team.

Gambia finished third at the recently concluded 2021 U19 Boys African Nations Volleyball Championship in Abuja.

Njie said the players demonstrated high level of dedication, patriotism, and professionalism.

He said, “I want to salute the players for finishing third place against all odds. Many pundits had written Gambia off but the boys gave all their best and won a game against Morocco.

“During the matches, the boys played with oneness, determination, passion, zeal and professionalism. You could see that they wanted to win all their matches but the fire power of the host, Nigeria and Cameroon were too much for the boys”.

“I have a strong conviction that these set of players if kept together will bring more glory to our nation, Gambia”, he added.

He praised the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod for being a good host.
