ABUJA (PRECISE POST) — Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has been conferred with the title of Life Patron of the Nigeria Entertainment and Economic Roundtable, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to economic innovation.
The honour was announced at the 3rd edition of the Roundtable held in Abuja, which focused on the theme: “The Urgency of Recognizing Tourism, Culture and the Creative Sectors as Pathways to Rapid Economic Diversification and National Security.”
This was contained in a statement released on the official X handle of the Ministry of Information on Wednesday.
Representing the governor at the event, Kaduna State’s Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology outlined the administration’s strategy to diversify the state’s economy through innovation, tourism, cultural development, and youth empowerment.
The Roundtable brought together policymakers, investors, and industry stakeholders to examine how Nigeria’s creative economy can drive investment, stimulate growth, and support national development.
In the presentation, Kaduna’s approach to security was highlighted, emphasizing non-kinetic measures such as inclusive governance, job creation, and skills development as long-term solutions to instability.
Key initiatives cited include the operationalisation of the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, improvements in digital governance, reforms to ease doing business, and ongoing efforts to expand the state’s tourism and hospitality sector.
Delivering the keynote address, the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, represented by Rear Admiral O. A. Bankole (Rtd), spoke on national strategies for strengthening peace and security.
The event also attracted international participation, with representatives from the embassies of Qatar, Israel, and Liberia, underscoring growing global interest in Nigeria’s cultural and economic potential.
In his remarks, Chucks Akamadu praised Governor Sani’s efforts in fostering unity and advancing peace in Kaduna State, noting that these initiatives are contributing to economic growth and rebuilding public trust.
The event concluded with the formal conferment of the Life Patron title, recognizing Governor Sani’s governance style and reform-driven agenda.
Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening partnerships, promoting innovation, and positioning Kaduna State as a hub for enterprise, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.
