Group Hails Olujimi over Appointment

Ado Ekiti – Group under the auspices of “The Repositioning Movement, a political group under the People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State, has congratulated Sen. Biodun Olujimi on her appointment as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations.

The group, in a statement signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Mr Alaba Agboola and Ebenezer Oladipupo, respectively, described Olujimi’s appointment as well deserving.

It stated that the appointment is well deserved in view of her capacity, astuteness and wealth of experience.

Recall that the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, had at the end of the Senate’s plenary on Tuesday, announced the appointment of Olujimi, among others.

“We are, therefore, not surprised by Sen. Olujimi’s appointment as a former principal officer in the 8th Senate, as minority leader, in addition to her records as foremost campaigner on gender equality and protection of the girl-child of international repute.

“We urge her not to relent in her selfless service to mankind in general.

“We pray that God will grant her grace for exceeding accomplishments,’’ the group said.

The group commended the Senate President and the other Senators for counting Olujimi worthy of the appointment. (NAN)
