‎Hajj 2027: Kano pilgrims board fixes Sept. 25 deadline for registration, warns against late payment

KANO – The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reaffirmed Sept. 25 as the final deadline for payment of hajj deposit and registration for 2027 pilgrimage.

The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle gave the warning in a statement  by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi on Wednesday in Kano.

According to the statement, intending pilgrims will not be given a seat after the closing date and the board has earlier fixed the hajj deposit for 2027 pilgrimage at N8 million.

“All intending pilgrims should complete their payments and registration before the deadline to secure their places for pilgrimage”.

Ibrahim-Matawalle further explained that the board will not extend the registration period or allocate hajj seats to anyone who fails to meet the deadline.

He added that measures have been taken  to ensure effective planning and coordination of  2027 hajj exercise.

‎The Director-General reaffirmed the board’s commitment to conduct a smooth, transparent and hitch-free hajj operation.

He advised prospective pilgrims to comply with all registration requirements within the stipulated period to avoid losing opportunity to perform the pilgrimage. (NAN)
