During a recent panel session at a Lagos event, the film star said she did not go into acting for fame, but so her children would be able to find her when they grow up.

She disclosed that her children were taken away from her when they were very young after she married into a wealthy family that did not believe she would achieve anything meaningful.

The actress added that despite those painful experiences, she is proud of how her life has turned out today.

“I actually started acting so that when my children grow up, they would be able to know where to find me. I never thought of becoming a star,” she said.

“My children were taken from me when they were very young because I married into a very wealthy family, and they did not think I would become anything in life. And here I am today!”

Wright began her acting career in 1996.

Since then, she has become a household name in the industry, featuring in several Nollywood films in both Yoruba and English languages, including Wale Adenuga’s Television series ‘Super Story’, ‘Saworo Ide’, ‘Omotara Johnson’, ‘Red Circle’, and ‘Aso Ebi Diaries’.
