Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has advised women not to equate the length of years in marriage with a man’s loyalty, stressing that some men may still take a second wife regardless of how long they have been married.
The actress made this known while reacting to ongoing discussions on Instagram about marriage and relationships. She explained that while many unions endure for decades, the duration alone does not guarantee a man’s faithfulness.
According to Omoborty, peace of mind should remain a woman’s ultimate priority. She warned against staying in troubled marriages simply because of societal expectations or fear of public opinion.
She emphasized that although some men may fail to honor their vows, there are still those who remain faithful and intentional about their marital commitments.
“Marriage isn’t about length or years, it’s about grace. Even after 50 years, some men can still show that ‘Solomon trait’ in them. At this point, one can only pray. May God bless every good and intentional man who keeps his vows pure,” she wrote.
Reflecting on recent controversies discussed on social media, she added:
“The sad truth is that the length of years in marriage doesn’t stop a man from misbehaving or even marrying a second wife. It’s all in God’s hands. While some will stain your white, there are still good, intentional, and determined men. May God have mercy on women!
As a woman, never remain where peace is lost just because of what people will say. Let them talk—your peace is your true wealth.”
Omoborty urged women to prioritize their emotional well-being over societal judgment, insisting that true fulfillment in marriage lies in peace, grace, and mutual respect rather than longevity alone.
