Abuja (Precise Post) – Super Falcons US based player, Ifeoma Onumonu, was impressive during her debut for super Falcons AWCON qualifier. Scoring a brace against Ivory Coast in the the leg heading to the return leg.
While speaking to journalists after the match. Ifeoma said it was an honor to score not just one but two goals in her debut for Falcons and still believes that she has more to give. As hopes to play alongside with Asisat who is the top striker in the team.
” Is just an honor to play for this team. I have been watching them for years and I have the dream to play for Super Falcons. To be able to make my debut was an amazing experience experience, not Scoring one but two goals was amazing.
I just want to make an impact on these team. I have so much more to give. I’m so excited to up my game as you can see the job is not done yet, we still have one more to go and I am just focused on the next game.
Obviously we miss Asisat Oshola, it is unfortunate that she is going to miss the game and not be with us. She is an excellent striker. I have seen her at Barcelona for years. I mean she is at the top level at her club, obviously been a striker myself, it is always a competition amongst teammates. We are not going to look at who scores goals because at the end it is for the benefit of the team. But hopefully I’m looking forward to play alongside with her.” She concluded
