Ikenga Ugochinyere: The 38th Birthday to Remember

Abuja (Precise Post) – For the spokesman of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, his 38th birthday anniversary was the birthday to remember as encomiums were coming from left, right and centre, which only showed that the Ikenga himself has carved a niche for himself within the political circle is, despite still being under 40.

When Ikenga Ugochinyere, started off many years ago as a leading voice against malfeasance and mal-administration in governance, little did he know that within a short period of time, he would become a household name in the political spectrum in the nation. 

But today, the spokesman of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ugochinyere is attracting rave reviews from different political leaders based on his contributions to the political discourse of the country, despite his relative young age. 

The lawyer turned politician has become a rallying figure following his consistency as a huge voice in the opposition. Barrister Ugochinyere’s vibrancy, political sagacity especially with his detail revelations fraud and corruption in high places has endeared him to many. 

Obasanjo

Since his appointment as the media engine room of the CUPP, an umbrella body that houses all political parties in the nation, Ugochinyere has not only become a huge voice within the opposition, but Nigerians now wait for him to uncover one form of sleaze or another. 

So when on his occasion to mark his 38th birthday anniversary and encomiums were coming from left, right and centre, it only showed that the Ikenga himself has carved a niche for himself within the political circle, despite still being under 40.

Atiku

The 38-year-old mouthpiece of CUPP on Monday revived congratulatory messages of goodwill from national figures like former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President,, Bukola Saraki, Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, his Enugu state counterpart, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, former governor of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha and a host of other prominent Nigerians. 

In their separate statements on Monday to celebrate Ikenga Ugochinyere on his 38th birthday, the leaders who apparently are of the PDP stock, they showed him solidarity while commending him for his consistency and erudite professionalism in politics. 

Saraki

They lauded Ugochinyere’s commitment to the work for a greater, united and accountability driven nation, saying that he is a courageous political activist, and a strong pillar of democracy and rule of law.

On his part, Obasanjo while issuing his congratulatory message, he described Ugochinyere as a resilient and determined leader in Nigeria even at the young age of 38.

He said, ”I am delighted to send you my best wishes on this occasion of your 38th birthday anniversary celebration. They say life begins at forty so by this 38th birthday, you are two years away from beginning life. Yet, from what I have seen of you, you have shown the wisdom, resilience, and determination of those whose lives have started. My prayer for you is that by the time you clock forty years, you will have matured enough to begin life with a bang.”

While on his part, Atiku Abubakar said, ”I wish to appreciate your steadfast commitment to the struggle for a better democratic governance and accountability in Nigeria even at great personal risk. The passion you have brought into your engagements and the consistency and unwavering devotion that you have demonstrated in the struggle to defend our democracy is worthy of emulation. Especially by the youths. Thank you for your commitment to a better Nigeria. On behalf of my family. I pray that the Almighty God will give you the grace and courage to continue to add to the towering accomplishments that you have already accumulated over such a relatively short period of life. May your sun never dims.”
