Kano FFS saves N636m property, records zero casualties in May

KANO – The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Kano State Command, on Wednesday said property worth N636 million was saved from three fire incidents recorded in May.

The State Controller, Mr Kazeem Sholadoye, disclosed this in a statement signed by the service’s Public Relations Officer, Al-Hassan Kantin, in Kano.

The controller said property worth N184 million was destroyed by fire during the period, however, said there was no loss of life.

According to him, the service did not receive any false alarm and there were no emergency calls from residents of the state during the period under review.

He urged residents to handle fire-prone tools and equipment carefully to prevent unexpected fire outbreaks. (NAN)
