Kano Fire Service saves 6 lives, N37.5m property in July fire incidents

KANO – The Kano State Fire Service says it has saved six persons and property worth N37.5 million in 20 fire incidents recorded in July across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Sani Anas, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Friday in Kano.

He revealed that 10 persons lost their lives in incidents involving ponds and wells, while property worth N9 million were destroyed by fire during the period.

According to him, the service responded to 13 emergency calls and five false alarms from residents of the state.

The director called on the public to adopt proper fire safety measures to avoid unforeseen circumstances.

Anas reiterated the commitment of the service to protecting lives and property through prompt emergency response and preventive safety measures. (NAN)
