KANO – The Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari on Friday Commissioned the BUHLER Grain processing facility in Kano state in an effort to enhancing the food value chain in the country.
Precise Post recalls that the BUHLER Group in partnership with the Ministry are advancing the industrial processing of local and ancient grains, contributing to affordable nutrition.
According to Kyari, this is to assure Nigerians of the ongoing support from the Federal Government to expand the Grains Processing Innovation Center for the benefit of Nigerians.
Disclosing this in a statement on Friday, the Minister said the company has invested $1 million in creating the center and is also partnering with @OlamAgri_..
The minister said:
“I am pleased to announce that I successfully commissioned @buhler_group’s local grains processing facility in Kano yesterday, a grains application center dedicated to processing local and ancient grains. This establishment is in partnership with @theFMNGroup.
This initiative aims to advance the industrial processing of these grains, contributing to affordable nutrition. The company has invested $1 million in creating the center and is also partnering with @OlamAgri_.
This is to assure Nigerians of the ongoing support from the Federal Government to expand the Grains Processing Innovation Center for the benefit of Nigerians. In addition to enhancing the food value chain, BUHLER identifies significant business opportunities with a new category of processed food. Local grains and crops offer substantial benefits and are a crucial tool in improving food security.
