ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –  Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has reaffirmed his support for Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, as leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converged on Gusau to chart a path toward peace and stability in the state.
Speaking at an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the Zamfara State Government House, Matawalle commended Governor Lawal for convening what he described as a “timely and important” gathering of party leaders and stakeholders.
Disclosing this on his X handle on Sunday, Matawale said that the meeting, which brought together key figures within the party, focused heavily on the lingering insecurity in Zamfara, with participants emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts to restore peace. Matawalle stressed that security remains a top priority and pledged closer collaboration with the state government to address the challenge.
“As Minister of State for Defence, I will work with the governor to ensure Zamfara becomes truly great,” he said, underscoring the Federal Government’s commitment to tackling insecurity in the region.
At the end of deliberations, stakeholders unanimously endorsed the leadership and reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as Governor Lawal’s administration in Zamfara State.
Matawalle highlighted unity as the cornerstone of progress, noting that collective action among political leaders and citizens would be crucial in transforming the state.
“Our greatness lies in working together,” he added, expressing optimism that sustained collaboration would pave the way for lasting peace and development in Zamfara.
