Moment Akeredolu’s daughter ordered journalists to leave father’s residence

by Arabella Zikora

Journalists who paid a visit to the late politician’s private property in Ibadan were asked to leave by Rotimi Akeredolu, the daughter of the late governor of Ondo State.

Journalists gathered at the deceased person’s home to cover Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, and Governor Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, as they paid their respects.

However, one of the daughters of the deceased, named Ololade Akeredolu, ordered all the journalists to leave the residence, on the grounds that it was a private residence and not a Government House.

The two governors – Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and  Governor Seyi Makinde – who visited the bereaved family, pacified the journalists by walking out to the street where the journalists were waiting to address them.
