NAF Airstrikes Crush ISWAP Stronghold, Destroy Logistics in Lake Chad

by Arabella Zikora

In a decisive blow to insurgents, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted a precision airstrike on an Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) enclave in Jubillaram, Lake Chad, killing scores of terrorists and crippling their logistics.

According to intelligence sources, the operation—executed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) on March 20, 2025, at 17:25 hours—targeted key terrorist infrastructure following credible intelligence on their activities in the area.

The air interdiction successfully destroyed multiple ISWAP structures and supply caches, dealing a significant setback to the group’s operational capabilities. The strike was part of a broader strategy to weaken ISWAP’s influence, disrupt their supply chains, and support ongoing ground operations under Operation Lake Sanity and Desert Sanity 4.

Jubillaram has long served as a staging ground for ISWAP attacks on security forces and civilian communities. This latest offensive underscores the Nigerian military’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks in the Lake Chad region.
