NCDC Confirms 356 New Cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

Abuja (Precise Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday confirmed 356 new cases of #COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The report released via the health center’s report said the 356 new cases were recorded from 15 states including the FCT as follows:

Lagos-59
Kaduna-56
Katsina-37
Nasarawa-30
Kano-25
Edo-18
Gombe-14
Kebbi-12
Akwa Ibom-7
Rivers-7
Sokoto-7
Abia-3
Ogun-1
Cross River -1.

The total confirmed cases in Nigeria has risen to 78,790 out of which 68,483 patients have been discharged from across the various isolation facilities in the country.

The NCDC further stated that 1,227 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related ailments since the index case was reported in February 27 2020.

Precise Post recalls that with the upsurge in the rate of infections, some state governors have imposed restrictions on social gathering while the federal government is strongly considering the imposition of another lockdown.
