The 35-year-old singer, born Ayodeji Balogun, hosted fellow artistes including Shallipopi, Young Jonn, Tiakola, and Pasuma at the intimate gathering.

While the announcement has ignited excitement among fans, Wizkid has not yet revealed a release date or tracklist.

The Paris event follows weeks of speculation triggered by a cryptic post on X in which the singer simply wrote: “Album🦅”.

The pre-release party comes about two years after the release of his sixth studio album ‘Morayo’ in November 2024.

The album held special meaning for the singer, as it was dedicated to Jane Dolapo Balogun, his mother who passed away in August 2023.

Wizkid gained prominence in 2011 when he released his debut album ‘Superstar’.

He has released four additional albums, including ‘Ayo’ in 2014, ‘Sound From The Other Side’ in 2017. In 2020, he released ‘Made In Lagos’.

The album featured big names in the global music industry like Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R, Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri.

He followed it up with ‘More Love, Less Ego’, his fifth album, released in 2022.

Wizkid’s accolades include a Grammy Award for his contribution to Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” in 2021.
