The state Coordinator of NHRC, Shehu Abdullahi, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday in Kano.
Abdullahi giving a breakdown of the cases said that 75 bordered on child abandonment and right violations, 23 on domestic violence and right to life, and 20 on economy and cultural rights, law enforcement abuses and neglect of parental responsibilities.
According to him, we have treated 82 of the cases while 36 are still pending.
”The commission also meditated on marital matters between couple.”
He therefore urged couples to be more tolerant with one another in order to manage their responsibilities.
The NHRC state coordinator assured that the commission would continue to strengthen collaboration with security operatives and other relevant agencies to promote and protect human rights in the state.(NAN)
