MINNA – A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Niger South Senatorial aspirant, Alhaji Mohammed Ndarani, has congratulated Gov. Umaru Bago on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Niger.
The renowned legal luminary also described the milestone as a moment for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment to development.
Ndarani, who spoke to newsmen in Minna on Wednesday, said the creation of the state on Feb. 3, 1976, marked the beginning of a historic journey that had produced resilience, unity and steady progress despite daunting challenges.
He commended Bago for what he described as purposeful and people-centred leadership, adding that the Governor was demonstrating uncommon zeal in repositioning the state through bold policies and infrastructural renewal.
According to him, the present administration has shown clear commitment to transforming the state into a competitive sub-national economy with focus on agriculture, urban renewal, education and human capital development.
“Niger at 50 is not just a celebration of years, but a celebration of hope, identity and collective aspirations of our people.
“I sincerely felicitate His Excellency, Gov. Bago, on this golden jubilee,” he said.
Ndarani called on the people of the state to continue to pray for and support the governor, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, patience and collective responsibility.
The learned silk expressed confidence that with sustained public support and divine guidance, the Umaru-Bago administration would place Niger on the global map through unprecedented development and innovative governance.
“The task of rebuilding and transforming Niger State requires the support of all.
“I urge our people to stand firmly with the governor, offer prayers for wisdom and strength, and contribute positively to the development agenda of the state,” he urged.
Ndarani further appealed to the citizens to use the golden jubilee celebration as an opportunity to recommit themselves to peace, hard work and patriotism in order to secure a prosperous future for the coming generations.(NAN)
