ABUJA (PRECISE POST) –   The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, commending his leadership in effectively communicating government policies and driving national reorientation.

In a statement by the Deputy Director, Media and Communication, Paul Odenyi made available to Precise Post on Satirday, said the Director-General, Lanre Issa-Onilu, praised the minister’s commitment to public service and his role in advancing Nigeria’s national orientation agenda in line with broader development goals.

Issa-Onilu described Idris as a focused and forward-looking leader whose stewardship has strengthened the information and orientation sector. He noted that the minister has provided clear direction for agencies under the ministry, enabling them to better engage citizens and promote national consciousness.

According to the NOA boss, Idris’ emphasis on national values, civic responsibility, and patriotism has helped reshape public discourse, encouraging Nigerians to develop a stronger sense of belonging and commitment to national growth and stability.

He further highlighted that the minister’s leadership has injected renewed purpose into efforts aimed at reconnecting citizens with core ideals such as unity, discipline, and collective responsibility—key pillars for sustainable national development.

The NOA also credited Idris with improving the clarity, structure, and consistency of government communication, which it said has enhanced public understanding of policies and fostered a more informed and engaged citizenry.

Issa-Onilu added that the minister’s dedication to truthful, timely, and responsible communication has been instrumental in countering misinformation and strengthening public trust in government institutions.

He reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting the minister’s vision through intensified grassroots sensitisation and advocacy programmes aimed at promoting discipline, integrity, and active citizenship across the country.

The NOA wished the minister continued success and prayed for long life and greater fulfilment as he marks the milestone age.
