Following the murder of the Vice Chairman of Mosogar town and a policeman along the Warri/Sapele road, operatives of the CP-SAT, led by ASP Julius Robinson, have arrested a 29-year-old notorious kidnapper/armed robbery suspect, Ojoko Ijoyoto A.K.A Pikolo.
The suspect was arrested in Mosogar Community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State on September 25, 2024, at about 0230 hours.
The police also recovered one AK-47 rifle loaded with six rounds of live ammunition from the suspect.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri.
The police spokesperson said, “Acting on a reported case of the murder of the vice youth chairman of Mosogar town and the murder of a policeman along Warri/Sapele road, intelligence revealed that the suspect, who carried out the dastardly act, had been on the command’s watchlist for over three years.
“On the 25th of September 2024, at about 0230 hours, operatives of CP-SAT, led by ASP Julius Robinson, tracked and stormed the residence of the suspect, Ojoko Ijoyoto A.K.A Pikolo, male, aged 29, of Mosogar in Ethiope West LGA, and upon searching his residence, one AK-47 rifle loaded with six rounds of live ammunition was recovered.”
He added, “Investigation is ongoing.”
