Rev Sunday Congo who was suspended as chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria has explained the delay in handing over physically after his suspension, saying he is out of town.

Congo revealed that he was required to hand over physically, aside the viral handover note obtained by our correspondent, which he termed as draft.

He made this disclosure on Sunday, during a telephone interview with our correspondent in Gombe, stressing that upon his return, he would hand over physically as required.

Recall that the former state CAN boss was fired, following a congratulatory letter to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Pantami, an indigene of Gombe.

The CAN headquarters sacked him for not seeking clearance before representing the body in celebrating the minister, whose elevation by Federal University of Technology Owerri as a Professor of Cyber Security, is surrounded by controversy.

He said, “There are arrangements we are still making; I’m not in town, I’m outside town. So, I will be coming. Until I come, I will do it physically,” he said.
