Abuja (Precise Post) – Former President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed optimism that their peace mission in Mali will yield positive result.
Precise Post recalls that former President Goodluck Jonathan who is the leader of Ecowas_Cedeao peace mission and his team arrived Bamaco Wednesday evening.
The former Nigerian President said since their arrival, they have been meeting with various interest groups including political, religious and civil society leaders.
He therefore expressed optimisim that their mission will yield positive results as their message of hope, peace and progress has so far been well received by different stakeholders.
Jonathan made the statement on Thursday via his facebook page.
The statement reads:
“Since I arrived Bamako Wednesday evening with my delegation to begin my assignment as leader of Ecowas_Cedeao peace mission to Mali, I have been meeting with various interest groups including political, religious and civil society leaders. I am optimistic that our mission will yield positive results as our message of hope, peace and progress has so far been well received by different stakeholders.”
