Nathaniel Bassey, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a gospel artiste has urged Christian men to be serious with the priestly responsibility of their homes.
The gospel artiste lamented on the slumbering and backsliding of men while their women takes their place spiritually which ought not to be so. “men should take their homes as their powerbase and first ministry before other things”.
“The number of Christian men I find lately relegating their spiritual responsibilities to their wives is worrisome. I’m meeting quite a number of Christian women who say to me they are bearing the spiritual responsibility and burden of their homes. And the men only come to them to pray when there is a problem.
“Please understand you are the priest and prophets of your homes. You are the warrior of that home. You should be the point of call when there is an intrusion and aggression. “God in His infinite wisdom made the man the head for a reason.
To lead, bring spiritual covering, direction and leadership to the home. As well as in other areas. The devil is so smart. He knows if he can get the man to relegate and abandon his place and position, the family unit becomes very vulnerable…”
