Police in FCT Arrest 23, Retrieve 13 Stolen Cars

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command says its operatives have arrested no fewer than 23 suspects over robbery, one chance and other related crimes.

The Commissioner of Police in the territory, CP Olatunji Rilwan made this known while addressing journalists at the command on Wednesday.

The vehicles recovered include one gold-coloured Toyota Corolla with tinted glass windows, one blue-coloured Golf III vehicle, one Ash coloured Corolla vehicle, a white Toyota Avalon (Reg. Number RBC 353 DK), ash coloured Corolla S, black coloured Nissan Patrol SUV (Reg. number ABC 117 BT), Blue coloured Toyota matrix with no reg. number.

The operatives also recovered one locally made Beretta pistol, one live 9mm live ammunition, Seven (7) knives and other weapons.

“During interrogation, suspects confessed to the Police that they impersonate personnel of different security agencies with the aim of defrauding unsuspecting citizens and have been operating on various routes within the FCT for the past two years”, the CP added.
