,,,As Reno Omokri offers free legal representation to ensure swift release of arrested protesters

Abuja (Precise Post) – Former federal lawmaker that represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the 8th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani has urged President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress’ federal government, to protect peaceful protest and protesters as a fundamental right they once enjoyed.
Shehu Sani made the call via his twitter handle in reaction to the reported arrests of peaceful protesters at Lekki Toll Gate on Saturday.
Shehu Sani’s tweet reads:
“PEACEFUL protest is a fundamental right once enjoyed by those on the throne today.permit & Protect the protesters.#LekkiTollGateProtest”.
Similarly, the Presidential aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan on new media, Pastor Reno Omokri has described the arrests of #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters on Saturday as unconstitutional, null and void.
Reno Omokri who made the condemnation when he took to his twitter handle account, however, offered to make arrangement for a swift legal but probono services to fast-track their release.
He called on eye-witnesses, family members and friends of those illegally arrested at Lekki Toll Gate on Saturday to come forward with the proof of arrest, routing same via #OccupyLekkiTollGateLegal.
His tweet reads:
The arrest of #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters is unconstitutional, and therefore null and void. If you have been illegally arrested, please respond to this tweet with proof of your arrest and I will do my best to get you legal representation. Use #OccupyLekkiTollGateLegal.
