Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., said the issue began after he parted ways with about five to seven artistes he had previously signed.

According to the 41-year-old singer, he decided to stop working with them because they had become difficult to manage.

He claimed the former associates subsequently began contacting influential figures in his life with false accusations in a bid to destroy his relationships.

“All like five or seven of these boys that I sacked were calling every rich man or every special person in my life to tell them I’m f**king their wives,” he said.

“I have billionaire friends they called, and those men told them that if they ever called with that kind of allegation again, they would have them arrested.”

Shatta Wale further claimed that Burna Boy was among those contacted by his former associates

“They told Burna Boy that I was f**king the girl he brought to Ghana,” he said.

The artiste expressed disappointment that Burna Boy believed the allegation without first speaking to him.

Shatta Wale said he had always rooted for Burna Boy’s success and looked forward to sharing in his achievements.

He said he became worried when Burna Boy stopped responding to his calls and messages, prompting him to contact Bose Ogulu, the singer’s mother and manager, whom he regards as a mother figure.
