ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   Vice President Kashim Shettima is using his two-week leave to study, reflect and broaden his knowledge in preparation for continued service to Nigeria, according to his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha.
Nkwocha, in a statement released on his X handle on Monday titled “A Time to Read, Reflect, and Learn,” said the Vice President had, as expected, devoted part of his leave to reading and reflection.
He said leadership was sustained by the willingness to continue learning, noting that stepping away from the demands of daily responsibilities provided an opportunity to examine ideas more carefully and return to duty with greater clarity.
“Leadership is sustained by the willingness to keep learning. Sometimes, stepping away from the daily rush creates the space to examine ideas more carefully and return to responsibility with greater clarity,” Nkwocha said.
According to him, the leave period is also an opportunity for Shettima to deepen the knowledge required for effective and continued service to the country.
Nkwocha stressed that learning should not end with the assumption of leadership responsibilities, arguing that the demands of leadership make continuous learning even more important.
“Learning does not end when responsibility begins. In many ways, greater responsibility makes learning even more necessary,” he added.
