ENUGU (PRECISE POST) – Governor Peter Mbah has declared that the South East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is more united and cohesive than ever, following the successful conduct of its zonal congress.
Mbah disclosed this when he took to his X handle @PNMbah on Wednesday shortly after the zonal congress of the party.
Speaking at the South East Zonal Congress of the party, Mbah said the election of a new eight-member Zonal Executive by consensus reflected the maturity, unity, and shared commitment among party members in the region.
He noted that the large turnout of party faithful at the congress was a clear indication that the APC remains solid and continues to gain strength in the South East, contrary to predictions by critics who had anticipated divisions.
According to the governor, the peaceful conduct of the ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses demonstrated a collective resolve among party members to work together toward a common goal.
Mbah also reaffirmed the region’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in his administration’s reforms. He commended the President for what he described as bold and timely economic policies aimed at placing Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth.
Looking ahead to the party’s National Convention, the governor urged members to sustain the spirit of unity and brotherhood, emphasizing that the South East APC must continue to serve as a model of internal cohesion and progressive politics.
He stressed that beyond internal party activities, the region’s APC structure is steadily expanding and positioning itself as a formidable political force ahead of future elections.
Mbah ended with a note of optimism, declaring that the future of the party in the South East is bright and already taking shape.
