ABUJA (PRECISE POST) — The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has firmly debunked circulating rumours claiming that it has commenced a recruitment exercise, describing such reports as completely false and misleading.
In a statement signed by James Uloko, Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Commission clarified that it is still in its formative phase, focusing on establishing its organizational framework and assessing its human and material resource needs.
“Since the appointment and inauguration of our Board and Management, we have been working to articulate the structure and operational requirements of the Commission,” Uloko said.
According to the statement, the NCDC is currently engaging key federal agencies — including the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and the Federal Character Commission — to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment and secure necessary waivers and approvals before any recruitment process begins.
The Commission also noted that its budget proposal is yet to receive final passage at the National Assembly, further emphasizing that no employment exercise is underway.
“Any claim suggesting otherwise is entirely false. We urge the public to ignore such rumours and remain vigilant against scammers who may attempt to exploit innocent job seekers through fake recruitment offers or online portals,” the statement warned.
The NCDC assured Nigerians that when recruitment eventually begins, it will be open, transparent, and duly announced through official channels, with full compliance to due process and fairness.
