ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala on Monday said President Bola Tinubu is championing transparency and fairness with the reforms being introduced by his administration.
Bwala who spoke in strong defense of President Tinubu’s administration, reaffirmed his commitment to the president’s bold reforms, especially the recently introduced tax reform bills. “I’m unapologetically proud to defend Mr. President’s audacious reforms, emphasizing the transformative nature of the tax bills.
Bwala stated this on Monday while speaking with Arise TV on President Tinubu’s reformative efforts and the tax bills conundrum.
The proposed reforms, which aim to streamline tax administration and promote fairness across regions, have been touted as game-changers. “We’re not sugarcoating the truth; we’re presenting verifiable facts, staying transparent, and tackling misinformation head-on,” Bwala added, rejecting regional divides and urging the focus to remain on the broader benefits of the policies.
Acknowledging the challenges faced, Bwala highlighted that President Tinubu’s leadership is already producing real and traceable results, despite initial hurdles. “He is a democrat who understands the importance of consultation and consolidation in governance,” he noted, stressing that the administration remains open to constructive dialogue on the reforms.
However, Bwala firmly stated that it would be both unfair and unwise to ask the president to abandon the tax reforms, as they are crucial to building a sustainable and prosperous future for Nigeria. “We have a country to build,” he concluded, reinforcing President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to setting the nation on a path of tangible growth and development.
