ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday in a natiowide broadcast, declared state of emergency in Rivers State.
He also suspended the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, his Deputuy and the entire Rivers State House of Assembly for the first period of six months.
Precise Post recalls that Nigerians woke up today with the news of pipeline explosion in Rivers. Though the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained but political pundits are of the view that the explosion may not be unconnected with the threat issued by militants who have threatened fire and brimestone should the Martin Amauwheule-led 27-member State Assembly loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike moves to impeach the Governor.
