President Bola Tinubu on Friday departed Abuja for Ibadan, Oyo State, to attend the coronation of the new Olubadan, Rashidi Ladoja.
According to the News, the presidential jet took off from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, conveying the President to the historic city.
In Ibadan, President Tinubu will join other prominent dignitaries for the official installation ceremony scheduled to take place at the iconic Mapo Hall. His presence, alongside other distinguished guests, highlights the national significance of the event as Ibadan marks the continuity of its respected monarchical heritage.
Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State and senator, was recently selected as the 44th Olubadan following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7.

At 81 years old, Ladoja is not only a respected businessman and seasoned politician but also a traditionalist who rose through the ranks of the Olubadan chieftaincy system to attain this esteemed position.
