LAFIA – Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is deeply committed to addressing unemployment and providing our youth with the skills and opportunities to build a productive future.
Shettima stated this when he attended the combined Graduation Ceremony at the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute in Lafia on Friday.
Addressing the graduates and attendees, Vice President Shettima emphasized the ongoing reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which are focused on creating job opportunities for the nation’s youth and driving economic growth. Highlighting the importance of skills acquisition, Shettima stressed that these reforms are designed to equip young Nigerians with the tools needed for a prosperous future.
Shettima remarked. “Through our targeted initiatives, we aim to unlock greater economic prospects, particularly in agriculture, which remains a critical sector for national development.”

In line with this vision, the Vice President also flagged off the distribution of relief materials to flood victims in the region, offering much-needed support to those affected by recent disasters. Additionally, Shettima distributed tractors and paddy rice to local farmers as part of the administration’s broader commitment to agricultural development and disaster recovery.
The event underscored the shared vision between the federal government and the people of Nasarawa State in empowering youth and fostering innovation. Through sustainable reforms and targeted interventions, the Tinubu administration continues to ensure that Nigerians are equipped to drive the nation’s growth and development.
In his closing remarks, Shettima reaffirmed the government’s dedication to building a resilient, skill-driven economy, one where young Nigerians can lead and innovate as the nation moves toward a brighter future.
