Abuja (Precise Post) – Nigeria’s former President and Chairman, Ecowas_Cedeao mediation team, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated the new Malian Leaders, His Excellency Mr. Bah N’daw and Colonel Assimi Goita as President and Vice President of Mali’s Transition Government.
Today, we witnessed the swearing-in of His Excellency Mr. Bah N’daw and Colonel Assimi Goita as President and Vice President of Mali’s Transition Government.

Jonathan wished the new leaders success as they embark on an 18-month long task of restoring normalcy, stabilising the country, uniting the people and overseeing the process that will produce the next democratically elected president of Mali.
Precise Post recalls that His Excellency Mr. Bah N’daw and Colonel Assimi Goita were today sworn in as President and Vice President.

Colonel Assimi Goita-led junta had removed the former civilian President in a bloodless coup and detained him for days before ECOWAS gave the military leader to unconditionally release the former president.
The ECOWAS gave the Malian military leader ultimatum to, including but not limited to organising election within one year and to appoint a civilian to head the transition government that would organise election that will usher in a democratically elected civilian government.
Former President Jonathan gave the goodwill message on his Facebook thus:
