ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – A senatorial aspirant for Kwara North under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bala Usman, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing it as a growing force driven by credible Nigerians.
Speaking at the ADC National Convention, Usman portrayed the party as a “moving train” gaining momentum across the country, fueled by citizens eager for change.
“My expectation is simple, we are going to win and change the system. The calibre of people here shows that Nigerians are ready. This is a movement, and we are heading to the promised land,” he said.
Addressing constituents from Kwara North, Usman thanked supporters for their continued backing and pledged to focus on security and economic development if elected to the Senate.
“I want to thank my people for standing by me. We will work together to make our senatorial district better. Issues like insecurity and kidnapping will be tackled, and we will reposition the economy for the good of our people,” he stated.
He described the ADC as the most viable platform for Nigerians seeking genuine political transformation, emphasizing unity and collective action within the party.
Usman also reacted to reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, attempted to restrict activities around the convention venue, interpreting the move as a sign of growing concern over the ADC’s rising influence.
“That sends a clear signal, they are afraid. There was no justification for shutting down areas because of ADC. Abuja belongs to all Nigerians, not to any individual holding office temporarily,” he said.
He further assured that an ADC-led administration would promote inclusivity and fairness, particularly in the governance of the Federal Capital Territory.
“When we get there, leadership will be open to everyone. Youths will be empowered, and there will be fairness in housing and land allocation. Nigeria belongs to all of us,” he added.
Usman concluded by reaffirming confidence in the party’s unity and electoral prospects, describing it as a transformative force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
“ADC is a game changer. We are working as a team, and we are the winning team,” he said.
