Abuja (Precise Post) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday held bilateral meeting with the Executive Secretary of the UN Mr. Ibrahim Thiaw on the Convention to Combat Desertification,
on the side line as he participates in the world leaders summit on climate Change Conference #COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland
Buhari also addressed a Side Event on “Accelerating land restoration in Africa, the case of the Great Green Wall initiative”, co-hosted by the French President, the Prince of Wales, and the Mauritanian President.
The Nigerian President disclosed this on his Facebook page .
The statement reads in full;
I participated in the World Leaders Summit of the UN Climate Change Conference #COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, today.
I also addressed a Side Event on “Accelerating land restoration in Africa, the case of the Great Green Wall initiative”, co-hosted by the French President, the Prince of Wales, and the Mauritanian President.
In addition, I held a Bilateral Meeting with the Executive Secretary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, Mr. Ibrahim Thiaw.
