ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Author and Publisher of Ovation, Dele Momodu has charged President Bola Tinubu to sell his achievements to deserve a second term and not by use of direct and subterranean Federal might.

Momodu, who took to his X handle on Tuesday to voice out his concern over the President’s style of leadership, urged him to adopt a more democratic and inclusive approach at the national level.
Reflecting on a relationship that spans over three decades, Momodu revealed that their bond deepened during their time in exile between 1995 and 1998.

“I have been very close to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for over 32 years. We became even closer in exile from 1995 to 1998.”
The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Aspirant highlighted that upon their return to Nigeria, Tinubu became Governor of Lagos State and went on to wield significant influence in the state for over two decades.
“After we returned to Nigeria from England, he became Lagos Governor for eight years and has locked down the state in the last 26 years.”

Choosing a different path, Momodu explained his decision not to join Tinubu’s political circle.
“Rather than join his band of acolytes, I humbly decided to build a global brand and God answered my prayers, the reason I have been able to survive on my modest income.”
While maintaining that there is no personal animosity towards the President, he emphasized the importance of accountability and genuine leadership.
“I have nothing personal against the President, but a true friend should be able to tell him that he cannot hold Nigeria by the jugular like he did in Lagos.”
He therefore reiterated that Tinubu should sell his achievements to deserve a second term and not by use of direct and subterranean Federal might.
It is that simple, he added.
Precise Post recalls that Momodu’s reaction is coming against the backdrop growing conversations about voluntary or induced endorsement of Tinubu by some states and political stakeholders ahead of the next election cycle in 2027.
