Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared a profound spiritual revelation he believes explains the alarming increase in early and untimely deaths across Nigeria.
In a recent Facebook post, the actor recounted a road trip from Anambra State to Arochukwu in Abia State, during which he was deeply disturbed by the sheer number of obituary posters lining the roads.
Describing the experience as more than just tragic, Edochie emphasized the spiritual significance of what he witnessed.
“I drove from Anambra to Arochukwu, Abia State. I saw so many obituary posters. Too many early and untimely deaths,” he wrote.
Rather than blaming the government or societal factors, the actor attributed the crisis to Nigerians’ abandonment of their traditional beliefs and cultural heritage.
“It is because we abandoned our traditional ways. Our ancestors and spirits are angry,” Edochie declared.
He urged Nigerians to reconnect with their ancestral religion and spirituality, insisting that this alignment is crucial for divine protection and intervention.
“We must return to our traditional religion, align with our ancestors and spirits, and they will fight our battles,” he added.
Edochie warned that as Nigerians increasingly embrace foreign ideologies and neglect African spiritual roots, they become more vulnerable to misfortune.
