Abuja (Precise Post) – As politicians from different camps prepare for 2023 presidential election, supporters of All Progressives Congress national leader, Bola Tinubu, will, on October 23, formally inaugurate an office where operations leading to his campaign will take place, The PUNCH has said.
The news comes a few days after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State launched the South-West Agenda 2023 campaign codenamed SWAGA.
Although Tinubu has not formally declared his intention to run for president in 2023, his supporters, many of whom are elected government officials, have begun mobilising support for him nationwide
The campaign office, which is located on Lake Chad Street in the highbrow Maitama District of Abuja, is expected to be a beehive of activities.
Confirming the development, the lawmaker representing Ikeja federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr. James Faleke, said all supporters were happy about the return of Tinubu who had been in London for the last three months recuperating from a knee surgery.
“Save the date. It is October 23,” Faleke told The PUNCH.
Faleke, who is the coordinator for all the groups, had stated last week that Tinubu remained the only person that could pilot the affairs of the country, adding that his achievement as Lagos State governor was a testament to his competence.
Precise Post recalls that the SouthWest Agenda 2023 group yesterday said that the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, already has 12 million votes in the bag ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The chairman of the pro-Tinubu group, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, made this known on Friday as a guest on Channels TV’s ‘Politics Today’ programme.
Though Tinubu has yet to declare his intention to contest any office in 2023, there have been reports and veiled indications that he might be interested in the exalted seat.Follow Us on Social Media for Latest news
