ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, has expressed confidence in the preparations for the 2026 NBA Annual General Conference (AGC) following an inspection tour of the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, the designated venue for the event.
Osigwe, who led the inspection over the weekend, said the visit was aimed at evaluating the state of facilities, reviewing the level of readiness, and ensuring that every aspect of the conference aligns with the standards and reputation of the NBA.
Disclosing this on his X handle on Sunday, the inspection provided the organising team with an opportunity to assess ongoing preparations and confirm that necessary arrangements are being put in place to deliver a conference worthy of the association’s enduring legacy.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far, noting that the level of preparedness has strengthened his confidence that the 2026 conference will be a memorable event for members of the legal profession.
“I am encouraged by the progress made so far and remain confident that together, we will host an Annual General Conference that will be memorable,” Osigwe said.
He added that preparations have entered a crucial phase, declaring that the countdown to the conference has officially begun and affirming that Port Harcourt is gearing up to welcome thousands of lawyers and stakeholders from across the country for the flagship annual event.
