Abuja (Precise Post) – The former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has slammed the Ondo state Commissioner of Police for allegedly holding the Deputy governor hostage.
Precise Post recalls a trending video in social media where the Ondo state commissioner of police were seen preventing the state’s Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi from leaving the government House for allegedly planning to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party from APC.
According to Fayose, ” Even if the Deputy Governor is decamping to another party, does that give the Police Commissioner right to hold him hostage? Is there any law in this country, permitting police to prevent a Dep Gov from using his official vehicles just because he is changing political party?
Recall that the Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi on Sunday resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress.
Hon. Agboola after his resignation, picked the Peoples Democratic Party membership card at Ward 2, Apoi, in Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
