ABUJA (PRECISE POST) — The Senate will on Thursday, October 16, 2025, commence the screening of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, the nominee of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for the position of Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to a statement released by the Office of the Secretary, Research and Information, signed by the Director of Information, Bullah Audu Bi-Allah made available to Precise Post, the screening exercise is scheduled to take place in the Senate Chamber at the National Assembly Complex.
Members of the Senate Press Corps have been urged to ensure full media coverage of the proceedings to facilitate proper public dissemination of the event. Television stations are also expected to provide live coverage, continuing the tradition of transparency in such national processes.
The Directorate expressed its appreciation to the media for their continued support and professional coverage of National Assembly activities.
