ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, has arrived in Ghana to participate in the 2026 Annual Conference of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) in Ada.
Badejo-Okusanya, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), disclosed this in a statement posted on her X handle on Sunday.
She said her participation in the conference would provide an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends within the Ghanaian Bar, while strengthening the longstanding professional relationship between the legal communities of Nigeria and Ghana.
According to her, the conference would also offer an avenue for legal practitioners from both jurisdictions to exchange perspectives on the future of the legal profession across Africa.
“The histories of our Bars are closely intertwined. Our shared legal traditions have created generations of professional relationships, and gatherings such as this provide an opportunity to deepen those connections,” she said.
The NBA President added that the engagement should encourage both countries to look beyond their respective jurisdictions and explore wider opportunities for the advancement of the legal profession on the African continent.
She expressed optimism about the discussions and engagements expected at the conference, saying she looked forward to the ideas and conversations the gathering would generate.
