Abuja (Precise Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday confirmed 136 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Lagos State, the known epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria accounted for 41 patients; Ogun-27; Rivers-19; Abia-10; and Oyo and Plateau-6 each.
According to the report released by NCDC, others states where patients tested positive are ; Bauchi and Ondo-5 each; Ekiti and Kaduna-4 each; Edo-3; Ebonyi-2 while Bayelsa, Delta, Osun and Yobe had 1 case each.
The report added that the newly recorded infections brought total confirmed cases in Nigeria to 58,198 out of which 49,722 patients have been discharged while 1,106 lives have been lost to the novel virus pandemic.
