Abuja – “Team Nigeria” athletes who participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday.
The Team Nigeria flight conveying the athletes arrived at the airport at about 1 pm local time, Channels TV reports.
Recall that Nigeria placed 69th on the 205-country medal table.
Nigeria clinched two medals at the games comprising a bronze in long jump and a silver in wrestling.
Both medals were won by Ese Brume and Blessing Oborududu respectively.
Precise Post recalls that the former sports Minister Dalung has blamed Sunday Dare for the abysmal performance of the Nigerian contingent describing it as a show of shame.
