Ex-Police Boss, IGP Tafa Balogun is dead.
He died at the age of 75 at the Redington Hospital, Lagos on Thursday, 4th August, 2022.
Source close to the family said, the ex-Police boss has been ill for sometime and has not been seen in public places.
Recall that he was removed from office during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration over corruption related cases while in office.
Precise Post recalls that he was appointed Inspector General of the Nigerian Police in March 2002 and was retired in January 2005 following widespread charges of corruption.
He attended the University of Lagos, graduating in 1972 with a B.A. in Political Science.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force in May 1973.
