MAIDUGURI – The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25, 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar has commiserated with the government and good people of Borno State over the catastrophic flooding that led to the tragic loss of lives, destruction of property, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands from their homes.
Reacting via his X account on Sunday, Atiku who assured the Borno flood victims that they were not alone in this difficult time, pledged his full support towards the rebuilding efforts.
Atiku’s full reaction reads:
I commiserate with the government and people of Borno State over the catastrophic flooding that led to the tragic loss of lives, destruction of property, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands from their homes. You are not alone in this difficult time, and I, on behalf of my family, pledge my full support towards the rebuilding efforts. -AA
